Demand Transparency in Political Donations

In the last year, millions of pounds have flowed into political parties from sources that are difficult to trace. Current rules allow donations to be split, routed through shell companies, or made through unincorporated associations — making it nearly impossible for the public to know who is really funding our politics.

We are calling on the government to:

• Lower the reporting threshold for political donations to £500
• Ban donations from unincorporated associations
• Require all donors to be verified UK residents or UK-registered companies
• Give the Electoral Commission real enforcement powers
